Paint ideas for a home

When updating your home, you could paint all of the walls just the same dull colour, or you could try something new to make out of your home interior booth. Refreshing the inside of a house increases the value, and many interior painting ideas are feasible without hiring a painter.

Rag Rolls
Rag Rolls is a favourite faux finish technique that lets a soft and mottled texture on walls. With a little practice on a monster board, the method is easy to master and requires no troweling skills or expensive brushes and tools. Roll the entire wall with a primer of paint, preferably in a satin or semi-gloss finish. Roll faux finish glaze on the wall with a roller with 3/8-inch NAP and proceed to roll over the glaze with a separate rag-roller.

Accent Walls
An accent wall enhances the visual appeal in a room while creating an anchored focal point. Painting a wall accent not only make the wall stand out from the rest of the room, but also the colour can complement furniture and decor. Typically, the accent paint colour is darker than the surrounding walls. If you are uncomfortable cutting-in the wall by hand, only tape the corners where the surrounding walls meet the accent colours, paint the taped edges with a tassel and roll the accent colour paint on the wall.

Paint Kitchen Cabinets
Paint old cabinets Instead of spending money on a costly replacement. A fresh layer of white semigloss enamelled makes old cabinets look brand new. Painting kitchen cabinets are carried out using a brush-and-roller application, or a sprayer to finish a factorylike paint. Thoroughly degrease and clean offices from top to bottom. Remove doors and hardware using a drilling machine. The cupboards with abrasive paper grain 150 sand and an oil-based primer with a paint roller or a paint-sprayer apply. Top Coat the primer cabinets with a shiny oil based enamel.

Eco-Friendly Paint
Some interior paints on the market contain harmful volatile organic compounds, volatile organic compounds. The chemicals are released from wet paint during application and even months after the paint has dried up. Newer eco-friendly paints lack volatile organic compounds, and other colours contain less harmful amounts. Although eco-friendly paints cost a little more per gallon than traditional makeup, the health benefits outweigh the cost. Paint a children's room or a baby's room with eco-friendly paint.
